Assurance of God's Personal Love for UsThe startling truth about the love of God has lost its potency. It is not a passionless, theological idea. It is a real love that feels and even suffers. Whether you grew up in a Christian home and have forgotten this essential truth, or you never knew it in the first place, we all need to be reminded--and assured--that God's love is real and personal. The Reckless Love of God is about pulling readers in close and asking if they have really considered what it means to say, "Jesus loves you."Nothing changes lives and grows the church faster, more effectively, and more thoroughly than being captivated by this reality. But the love of Jesus is not just a means to another end. Receiving the love of Jesus is the end itself.Includes end-of-chapter questions for individual or group use.

Receiving the love of Jesus is the end itself.Includes end-of-chapter questions for individual or group use.My Review: The wonderful power of the grace granted to us by way of Jesus' work on the cross. God's love cuts through all the barriers and boundaries placed in His way. You are His child and His ultimate goal is to share an eternity with you. He has reckless abandon when it comes to His children and no human mind or heart can understand or fathom it but boy when you are immersed in, there is absolutely nothing better. His love can actually be physically felt a lot of times the closer you are to Him, that is why an intimate relationship with Him is paramount especially in today's world. God has no favorites and He definitely doesn't value you one over the other, even when it co,es to sin. Sin is bad and He views them all the same. The author is giving his own commentary on the vastness of love that Jesus has for us all and just what he was willing to do to save us from torment. We are deeply loved more than we can ever imagine by a God that will NEVER leave our side. This book is a really good guide on exploring that.**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Bethany House.

It is simple enough to make a children's song out of, but hard enough that it takes a lifetime for us to truly believe and live in. Truth is there are few books that draw us deeper into that experiential truth that God really does love us. Not in a formal sense, or in a obligatory way, but rather in a reckless way. This is exactly what Alex's book does; it is ideal for anyone out there who is in need of the best news of all with no strings whatsoever attached; that Jesus loves us.Not to mention, Alex is a really good writer and draws the reader with good scriptural insight, but also meaningful stories and examples. So buy this book and be prepared for an adventure in see just how much God loves you.

After finishing it, I have mixed feelings about the book. There is some solid theology in Early's book and his book definitely reflects the title. It's all about the reckless love of God, what that means and how that affects and impacts us. And I thought his use of the song "Jesus Loves Me" as the chapter titles was clever. There was some stuff in the book I thought was great and totally agree with. Some stuff I didn't quite agree with or it didn't seem to go with the book. But it was well-written and easy to read.
