David's Ghost is a compelling plot featuring a clique of teenagers led by Megan, a ghost whisperer. Jealousies and back stabbings within the group do not prevent them from joining in a balls-to-the-wall investigation of the disappearance of a friend. This book will appeal to young adults in the mood for fresh paranormal. Great summer read. Download Kindle version now.

It is surprisingly well developed for a first novel. The story gets off to a good start, moves along in sometimes unpredictable ways and is thoroughly enjoyable. One of the strengths of the writer is her use of humor. She also has a good feel for young readers and the kinds of things that cause them angst. Consistent and readable. Give it a go.

By Bob Duckles Rita Toma has written a gripping mystery-thriller in which teenagers attempt to set the record straight on a murder twenty years before. In doing so, she explores the experiences of today's youth, dealing with parents, other adults, and the hormones that complicate their relationships with the opposite sex.Read this summer adventure of Megan and her new friends in a Phoenix summer. You'll enjoy it.
