1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Good Sequel By Ian J. Hayes I have enjoyed the Matt Drake adventure series quite a bit. The stories are highly imaginative and full of action. Some of the action may seem a bit over the top, but it's all in good fun and certainly appropriate to the mayhem of the plot. I did knock off a couple of stars for a few typos, and a heavy dose of British humor, some of which is simply unintelligible for a Yank (US audience). One other reason for star deduction is that the books have just a wee bit too much sexual reference for a wider and younger audience. While there are no overt descriptions of sexual conduct, there are a few vulgarities and body part references that I thought were unnecessary. I encourage authors to avoid such content in order to include younger readers as potential customers; after all, the idea is to get as many readers as possible to buy the book, now isn't it? The books are sequential and do need to be read in order because of the continuing plot line. This one continues the story of a maniac intent on conquering or destroying the World by pursuing and possessing various ancient artifacts to give him power to reign supreme. His horrifying disregard for human life leaves a trail of destruction across the globe, and only our heroes (and a few supporting cast from the SAS and CIA) are able to deal with the circumstances. The characters are engaging, and each has a unique talent that they bring to the fight to save the World. One point to know - don't get too attached to any of the characters, as there are plenty of people who fall by the wayside. This is a good series, and definitely Kindle-worthy.
