As a young mother, Lindsey Riley and her family headed home to Oklahoma from vacation in California. They stop on a west Texas highway to help Sam Craig in an over turned pickup. The pickup had been run off the road. The assailants come back and are held off by Lindsey using Sam’s high power rifle. Through the scope of Sam’s rifle, Lindsey sees two faces and the silhouettes of others. She is then whisked away to Austin to make an identification by Sam Craig’s uncle, who is Will Anderson, the Attorney General for the State of Texas. While she is in Austin, the family car is bombed and members of Lindsey’s family are murdered. Lindsey’s crushed. Her heart break becomes an overwhelming need for revenge. She searches out a past acquaintance, Han Gelder, who whisks her off to the Yucatan in Mexico where a network of men for hire, headed by Sean Fitzpatrick, have a plan to go after the same people Lindsey seeks. Lindsey’s sister, Susan, survived the bombing is left behind frantic and inconsolable. Their family in Oklahoma deal with their grief and possible continued threat. Soon they are led to believe that Lindsey is dead. Saba, an island in the Western Caribbean is where Lindsey’s quest will take her and into the deadly clutch of the smuggler and insane collector or antiquities by the name of El Condor.
