While this is Action Movie Kid's first book, it is not his first adventure; James is already a YouTube sensation. Hashimoto and Richardville's digitally altered "home" videos capture all the hilarity of their son's actions. The book succeeds in delivering the same and should appeal to fans of the videos as well as new readers. While the volume has an interactive component, readers expecting an interactive book (as it labels itself) may be disappointed by what is essentially a discovery layer created through augmented reality. About the Author Daniel Hashimoto and Mandy Richardville are the husband-and-wife team behind YouTube’s Action Movie Kid. The couple met at DreamWorks Animation, and have been embarking on creative adventures ever since. Daniel currently directs commercials and film projects, and Mandy runs Chocolate Menagerie, a custom chocolate shop. They live in Los Angeles with their son James, the real-life Action Movie Kid, and their new baby, Sophia.

James is a little boy with a big imagination, but sometimes it gets him into trouble! The artwork is beautiful and creative and clever, the story will resonate with parents everywhere and kids will adore reading about James or Action Movie Kid's big adventures! Exciting, exhilarating and funny for all the family although aimed at 4-10 year olds.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. My daughter couldn't stop reading it! By Ken Morris I don't give five stars that often, but if a book makes my daughter as happy as this one did, I'm gonna give it . She and I absolutely love AMK, and the book is about as fun as the videos.
