About the Author
Scott Hahn, Ph.D., well-known as the author of several best-selling books including Rome Sweet Home and The Lambs Supper, is a professor of scripture at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a very popular scripture scholar and speaker.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The Best! By PONDER Hahn's usual outstandingly informative notes & commentary. Only difficulty is that, for group study, you have to figure out how to divide up the questions for lesson assignments per meeting. I use about 6 pages of reading (not counting notes), which seems to work well for 1 1/2 hour meetings. Not all of the OT is available yet but we've also been through the entire New Testament, which is available in a single edition. Same great quality.

I wish all the other books for the Old Testament were available. Very useful footnotes and questions. Scott Hahn and his associates are the best!

Hahn's commentary provides a look into Biblical history with explanations of phrases, customs and traditions a reader, most likely, would not be acquainted with. He includes a spiritual perspective by including writings of the Church Fathers, Doctors and Popes. The books are affordable, nice sized print for older eyes, on good quality paper.
