Wonderfully written, engaging slices of life from around the globe By Kitty Smith The seven short stories that make up this collection are wonderfully written and quite engaging. Each story follows an adventure of a young boy, some in New York City and others in West Africa. Some are humorous and others are full of tension and dangerous adventure. They are like reading little slices of life from around the globe.I was struck by the contrast between the boys in NYC and those living in Togo, such different experiences they all share. The stories are easy reads but also memorable and stay in your mind long after you've finished reading them.
