I was juuuust starting to maybe be interested in this teen angst drama about vampires, and turned the page to find...the end.AND the follow up isn't even out yet. Although it does say the one character I found interesting is no longer involved in the story, so that's a huge negative.Basically, books should be books and even novellas should not just stop in the middle of the page. I felt like I'd read the set up for a book, not an actual book.Bah, Kindle serials!
17 of 18 people found the following review helpful. Very disappointed By Marie I was very disappointed! I think W.J May is normally an incredible writer but this one is not up to her standards. I'm also not sure why she no longer writes a full book. This was very short and can honestly say I won't read anymore in this series. I didn't find anything unique or interesting about this vampire story!
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Incredible Start to this New Series By LA Starkey I can honestly say that I picked this up and couldn't put it down. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this one and the story line is deep and sets me up as a reader to know that there will be lots more to come. The division of the Red and Blue Bloods is a great concept to build the vampire story on, the aggression of the Red's causing it's members to act crazy.I love Kallie, having invested in her immediately as someone who had been through a traumatic experience. May did a great job of showing that opening scene and dragging me in deep. Liam is smooth and sexy, his story tucked around the edges of this book. I sure hope we're going to see more of who he is and how he got to be where he ended up.And Caleb... Man I love a good love triangle. May hasn't pushed that plot point, but I'm sure hoping she will. I just love the ending, but I'm a cliff-hanger junkie all the way.GREAT, GREAT book...
