While not all stories in it might be for everyone, there is no way you're not going to find several others that really hit you in the right spot. The stories run the gamut of potential B grade cinema: Gingerdead men, carnivorous plants that take over the world, Super robot vs giant tar monster of doom, and one that features werewolves vs a biker drug gang just to name a few, and there are so many others in this thing! If you love B and Z grade movies, great stories, horror, sci-fi, and everything in between this book will be a fun read

Movies From a Time When Not Everyone Could Make a Movie, Inspire Stories For Now, When Not Everyone Should By Nicole Rehbein This is a fine collection. An execution of sophisticated, cinematic brilliance not so much printed, but seared onto paper as it will be into your brain. The juxtaposition of a refined authorship with schlock is like a Romane Conti 1997 wine poured from a box. This delicate balance is most effectively portrayed in the editor's contribution, Hercules with a Shotgun. Flawless Romanesque prose is used to present a modern day interpretation of the exploits of ancient Roman deities, ranging from divine infidelity and a subsequent domestic dispute, near suicidal consumption of liquor, and Pegasi doing unsanitary things. Nick Day's decidedly cinematic werewolf piece, Beast Mode, is such a visceral blood bath, that at times my guts wrenched along with a victim's. Kevin Candela's post-a'crop'alyptic marathon, Weedeaters is the bastard lovechild of the Happening and World War Z, with more action and humor than should be allowed or even possible in print. DF Noble's, Trailer Trash Samurai, is a delightfully bleak sci fi offering that combines the premise of Johnny Mnemonic, the setting of Idiocracy, and the smoggy, urbane atmosphere of Blade Runner. The rest of the poems and stories in this anthology do not disappoint. The brilliantly rounded characters contained in this Pandora's Box will mercilessly attack you mind with unparalleled fun, violence, destruction, brilliance and squeamishly filthy beauty, that will have you laughing, crying, gasping and shielding your eyes, when they unleash their all out assault on your senses. "Limitations are something that I latch onto - like working in genre" -Joss Whedon "Restrictions breed creativity" -Mark Rosewater "Locked inside STV are brilliant stories waiting to get out. Unleash and embrace them. All monsters are human." -Algol Von Loki. This is low budget, high brow that's mot afraid to lower its brow to scowl. READ IT!!!

The cover really says it all about these fun tales taking things back to B movie type monsters, aliens, creatures and such. Had a really good time with this one. A little something for all tastes in this book. Highly recommended.
