This is a fast paced, international thriller with a twisting plot, regular people in strange situations, nobility, gypsies, ghosts, a rather large Texas FBI agent who speaks more Texan than English and yes, still room for some humor and romance. With locations in Prague, Paris, Greece and the Louisiana bayou, the action keeps moving with interesting locations that include the seat of government in the Czech Republic, an alligator farm and a haunted castle. The author ties this together in a fun and engaging manner that keeps you turning the pages. A quick read with a plot that never slows down. If you like James Bond novels or Clive Cussler, you will enjoy Fantome as it includes many of the same elements with the exception of hot steamy romance. The main characters have more romantic tension than sex.

While the story was fast paced and engrossing, I particularly enjoyed the author's description of the many actual historical sites that were the backdrop to the story. It's one of those books you put your nose into and keep it there until the end.

The final novel kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn't want to put it down until I finished it! The story never lags and takes you all over the world with a fast paced plot. I would definitely recommend reading this trilogy.
