About the Author : Lee Lamond brings technology and his extensive travel experience to his writing. At the age of seventeen he joined the merchant marine and found himself on the high seas in the company of ex-convicts. After graduating with a degree in engineering he continued to travel to over fifty-two countries including a nine hundred and fifty mile back pack trip across Europe. Lee is a student of the people and cultures he has visited and many of the specific locations in his works are real. In all of his work his characters are victims of unexpected events that change the direction and purpose of their lives. Lee holds three degrees and several patents.

My wife and I were delighted with Lamond’s first book and this one too. The story takes surprising twists, the characters are believable and engaging, and the dialogue moves swiftly as the plot unfolds around the world. This adventure is well written, and one that will have you turning the pages to see where it all goes.

The first one was good, but a little bit too fast to a European reader. The book shows his vast knowledge of situations world-wide -which is quite unusual for an American author- but also of specific places here in Europe. I do recommend this book and am already waiting for the next one! Kerstin in Valence France.
