Though I was engulfed in the story, I learned so much about the environment and our impact on this earth. It is a book with great character development and a plot that spans the globe, but grounded in factual information. If everyone read this book, the world would be a better, more informed place!

By Gael Morrison True Cost's theme is global in importance but Scott Armstrong's novel touches people personally and made this reader want to get out and fight the good fight against all that threatens our environment and sustainability of life. Although preferably without the dangers the heroes in the book faced!Well-written, fast-paced, well researched and exciting, True Cost is a must read for thriller readers who want danger, seat of your pants excitement, and hope for the future! I loved the surprise ending and can't wait for Scott Armstrong's next book to come out.

Its premise that an "app" can change people and the world is quite believable as is the corporate ethos that is presented as the backdrop. I recommend this novel as a quick summer thriller a la Dan Brown; it will also be of interest to anyone worried about the future of our environment and who wants a bit of hope. Thoroughly enjoyable!
