By Christopher Fung Angsty, full of vitriol, and painted with all the zeitgeist of a man searching for the meaning of Rock and/or Roll, this book fed my happy wanderlust as I battled with airplane delays. If there is any part of you that resonates with the 70s punk rock era, or more truthfully, the lyrics of the artist known as Eminem, then chances are that you will find a home in the pages of this book.
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Amazing! By Robert Truly an amazing ride from start to finish. I loved the way the author played music into the story and how there's a real sense that Marcus is a part of something bigger. Can't wait to read the next one!

Born into a life few can imagine, Marcus Stone is an assassin trained (and still watched) by a legendary assassin.The book breaks onto the page with a mournful and captivating look into pain and unmarked graves, followed quickly by a brief glance into Marcus’s past – another captivating section and very probably the moment the novel really begins to catch hit’s footing. This may still be preamble, but this talented assassin grew up in the Church and was presented a very special Crucifix by the one who raised him.Somewhat reminiscent of the “Boondocks Saints” this has that rough edge but lacks the retribution – this is all about soul finding, if only by accident. One day, after a successful mark, Stone is challenged to find a piece of his heart and help someone in need while elsewhere in the world, a new character, Oates, emerges on the scene – one who will galvanize this tale into a “Rock and Roll” adventure.
