Back in 1960, Khrushchev sends undercover agents to the US to put in play a long term plan to take down America. Fast forward to the present day and the children of those original Russian agents, calling themselves The Shoksha, are now wealthy and have worked their way into key positions in the US. Through their actions they have gotten an unknown, who is not even qualified, elected as president of the US. They can now put their plans into high gear to destroy this country. A secret organization, that has worked for many years to protect America, has found some evidence that all is not completely as it seems with the recently elected US president. As they start to investigate, more startling evidence of a conspiracy comes to light. This secret organization has two operatives start to dig into the evidence they are finding. The Shoksha that is trying to bring down America finds out that some evidence they want to keep hidden is being uncovered and so they dispatch hit teams to track down and eliminate whoever is looking at the new president. The race is on to see who wins and the future of America hangs in the balance.

Outstanding Work from a Young Author By Mark Wilson I heard about this book from a friend who told me that a young man just entering his teen years had completed a fine fantasy novel. Out of curiosity I decided to check it out. The bottom line is that this is an outstanding effort for an author so young. No, it's not "Lord of the Rings," but it shows much promise. The story has many of the typical elements of traditional epic fantasy, including a sinister force of evil (Dark Prophet) and a young hero who shoulders the burden of battling this powerful force. The characters are nicely drawn, and the plot moves forward at a good pace.Given the author's age, I think this is an excellent book for a younger audience. I think young readers will enjoy the story and perhaps be inspired to produce something similar themselves. Maybe one day we will look upon this work as merely the first in a long line of successful novels by this promising author.

By OrganicShoes The Finishing School: How one book nerd began living what she learned, as a self-proclaimed book nerd, I was sold at the title of this book, so many times I’ve read books with the belief that reading this will help me, will challenge me, will change me, and after I’ve read each book, although I’ve learned some valuable things and understand how to get there, implementing them has not always been easy. So many times we feel stuck in a rut, not sure where we are going and search for help and guidance, if your like me that comes in the form of a book and The Finishing School is the perfect place to start. Not only does Woerner help to show how to identify areas of your life that may need work, and the areas that should be scheduled and put to routine she gives sound advice and recommends books that will aid in that area. At the end of each chapter she provides a list of tasks and resources that are attainable to help you make the changes you need and desire.Each chapter is a guide to help you with a part of your life from prayer, Bible study, distractions, joy, balance, influence, and peace with many more, there is a chapter for everyone, although some you may be good on others will speak to you and help you continue to find the you that God created you to be.I’ve absolutely enjoyed this book, I read through it pretty quick and plan to slow down and really go through the book. I think that The Finishing School is a great tool and guide to help you start doing the things you’ve always wanted to. I highly recommend this book (as well as many of the books that Woerner recommends throughout each chapter). Author Valerie Woerner caught my attention as early as page 3, when she said: "Our lives should be radically different because of Christ who lives in us. Too often they don't look different. And that's not God's fault. That's our laziness." Oh man. That's some good stuff right there!Valerie freely admits that she's on this journey to intentional living just as much as the rest of us. She doesn't have it all figured out. She's willing to share what she's learning, both the successes and the failures, if it means that others can join in and see God do wonderful things in our ordinary, everyday lives.This slim volume is packed with 22 areas in which we can let God work in us. Each chapter can be read in about 15 minutes, and I'd highly recommend either printing out the worksheet pages that go with each one, which the author makes available for free on her website, or buy the workbook which has the worksheets all ready to go for you. Due to the time constraints of reading this book before my spot on the tour came around, I was only able to look at a few of the worksheets, but sometime I'd like to go back and work through them all. I believe they would help these truths sink in and make them personal for the reader.It would be hard to pick a favorite chapter because there were so many good ones! The one that was most personally challenging to me was on the topic of Awareness. I already work in the ministry as a teacher at a Christian school, help raise my siblings, am active at church, have deep meaningful friendships, and work hard to take care of myself physically - it's really easy to just want to stay in my lane and not practice awareness on what is going on in the world. May God give me wisdom on how to use this character quality in my life!I could see this book having the impact on young women which Elizabeth George's books have had on me. This would be a great graduation gift or would work well for a young women's Bible study group. If you desire to live fully, this could be a great resource for you. Don't let it stay as a desire. "Truly, what we do in the difficult moments is what separates dreamers and doers. The people who live a beautiful, intentional life didn't just have it easy. They made choices when it was hard, and it built their character and refined them." I have personal struggled with telling someone no when they want me to do something and commit to something. This one discussed critical questions to ask ourselves about our commitments and priories. I thought these questions were great and this is something I will have to ponder before taking on too much. I will also take Valerie’s suggestion and begin writing out my commitments and listing the things to say yes to and the things to decline.I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who is prepared to refine their life and they are ready to dig deeper into the Word of God and to live out Jesus teachings. I really enjoyed the vast topics Valerie Woerner covered such as boundaries, goals, waiting, joy, influence, health, and so much more. I loved how she shared tips throughout the chapters to assist readers into growing in their spiritual lives. Another favorite chapter was the one on waiting on God’s timing. I loved how she was transparent about how she struggled with being single and waiting on God’s perfect timing. She revealed that she didn’t have a boyfriend until she was almost 25 years old. She also shared how she met her husband. I can relate to her story since I didn’t have my first girlfriend until I was 24. I immensely liked how she shared a few reasons that the waiting process can still be beautiful and life changing. Waiting for the timing on meeting your future spouse is difficult when everyone else is getting married and having babies and you’re believing for the same thing in your life. But waiting teaches us to be grateful before it happens and to also be thankful when it finally does happen. By Vicki Cook Our nation is in so much turmoil with the current state of affairs between the public and our police officers. Stories of injustice, mistrust and conflict are often heard. Sadly, race is often associated in these headlines. Regardless of your personal point of view on the issue, Sumner’s life experience in the force tied with his thoughts on what could be is encapsulating. It definitely got me thinking about how the state can relieve the tension between public/police and get the community trusting in those who put their lives on the line to protect them.

Thanks to author Shizette Parker.)“If within my soul, you were the music, if the sun were within you, if you really were within my soul, then yes, I could hear, within my silence, the calm evening sea.”This was quite a unusual story, about love, travel, and also science.Giselle was a writer who was excited to attain her first assignment, especially as she was being sent to Italy for 2 months – a dream come true for her.Zed was a man who lived 500 years in the future, and was interested in the secrets hidden in a mental box his dog discovered on the beach.The storyline in this followed Giselle as she began to discover Italy, and fell in love with a man called Alessandro. We also followed Zed as he began to investigate following his discovery on the beach.The story then took a bit of a drastic turn I don’t want to say any more because of the risk of dropping spoilers, but it was a very strange and sudden turn, which then led to a very unusual ending for all involved. I have to say that I wasn’t really expecting this (obviously), and it really wasn’t the sort of thing I’ve ever come across before, and gave this book a bit of a sci-fi twist.6 out of 10

Make sure to pay attention to the sizes, you will want to know the internal size not overall. I misread, but the product was really nice. I wish it would have fit my bible.

My favorite story of the bunch is #2, which I believe is about the snow witch. The book contains all 4 Witch stories, and each is distinctively drawn to the fashion of the story being told. Most comics cannot be read out loud but some of these stories lend themselves to that ability.... This is a beautiful collection of fairy tales, written and told in the fashion of the "storyteller." This book warms my heart and is among one of my favorites.

About the Author J. Ryan Fenzel is a Michigan author who employs the rich character and landscapes of the Upper Midwest to color his tales of mystery and intrigue. His first title, Descending from Duty (Ironcroft 2006), earned widespread acclaim in the Great Lakes region as it told the story of a WWII submarine unleashed on the contemporary Great Lakes. Inherit All Things is his second Great Lakes novel. Fenzel lives in Southeast Michigan with his wife and two daughters.

Packed with true Michigan geography and many true historical facts. This book is a very quick read as you will be unable to put it down. The adventures of Jack Sheridan and his crew should be made into a movie with Harrison Ford playing Jack. It is truly an adventure that not only Michiganders will enjoy, but anyone looking for some excitement. The author does such a great job as he leads you from one sceniro to the next that you almost feel as if you are there watching everything unfold. When you get to the suprising end you want him to hurry and get the sequal done so you can see whats next!!!

I live by some of them. It's not necessarty, however, to know the places because they are so beautifully described. If you enjoy a fast-paced, thoroughly entertaining, and well-researched mystery, Inherit All Things is for you. This book sure carries one along, and I really didn't want it to end. A sequel was inevitable.Anyone else ready to charter a boat and look for treasure?

A fantasy world with Truths for the reader and characters that are fun to meet and follow into their adventures. I'm recommending to all of my friends, regardless of age. However, friends with tween/teen boys who can't find books that interest them, try this one. It will capture their imaginations and have them rooting for the Garts.

It was a challenge keeping up with all the different characters and their abilities, but so much fun. A page turner with something for everyone. Science Fiction, Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Magic, Aliens, Humans, Feelings, Drama, Love. You name it, this book has it. I can't wait for the movie.

By EDWARD ROBERTS Origin: The Nameless CelestialFor too long, stories have relied upon all-encompassing power and flashy action to cover up a dearth of purpose and an absence of character development. Hopeless situations bereft of suspense because through the wave of a wand or utterance of a spell all obstacles are swept away for the heroes to come through unscathed. Pandering rubbish.Then Origin: The Nameless Celestial happened across my desk. Finally, a tome centering on the rare character: one with which we can all relate. A soul battling his own moral compass while trying to defeat evil. Even with an early death vision (no spoiler here), action-filled battle sequences, intrigue, questionable alliances, and powerful beings who voluntarily hold their own power in check to ensure the survival of principles, we experience edge-of-the-seat thrills while waiting for “the other shoe to drop.”

Once you begin reading you have to continue as you just cannot put the book down. This is a must read for an avid book reader. Don't let this one pass you by.
