Man Enough challenges the idea that there is one way to be a man. The masculinity that pervades our church and culture often demands that men conform to a macho ideal, leaving many men feeling ashamed that they’re not living up to God’s plan for them. Nate uses his own story of not feeling “man enough”, as well as sociological and historical reflections, to help men see that manhood isn’t about what you do, but who you are. It’s not about the size of your paycheck, your athletic ability, or your competitive spirit. You don’t have to fit any masculine stereotype to be a real man.

In our culture and churches more thoughtful, quieter, or compassionate personalities, as well as stay-at-home dads, are often looked down upon; and sermons, conferences, and publications center on helping men become “real men”. This pressure to have one’s manhood validated is antithetical to Gospel living and negatively affects how men relate to each other, to women and children, and to God.

Man Enough roots men in the Gospel, examines biblical examples of masculinity that challenge the idea of a singular type of man, and ultimately encourages men to conform to the image of Jesus—freeing men up to be who they were created to be: a son of God who uniquely bears His image.

Man Enough: How Jesus Redefines Manhood, by Nate Pyle

Review Man Enough is a fearless and faithful clarion call for the children of God to conform to the image of Jesus Christ, not to cultural or religious stereotypes around masculinity. With his trademark wisdom and humility, Nate Pyle assesses harmful misconceptions about what it means to be a man, shares his own story and the stories of others who don't necessarily fit the mold, and returns to Scripture to forge a better way forward - a way of freedom, truth, and grace. This book is a must-read, one I'll be recommending to friends and readers for years to come. Every page is an invitation to liberation. (-Rachel Held Evans, author of Searching for Sunday and A Year of Biblical Womanhood)“Blessed are the tough, muscled and masculine.' Jesus never said anything remotely like this but some modern believers act as if he did. Some Christians have transformed Jesus into John Wayne to promote culturally-driven ideas about what it means to be a man. Thankfully, Nate Pyle dismantles false notions of manhood and replaces them with a more Biblical concept of being human. If you read only one book on biblical manhood, it should be this one! (-Jonathan Merritt, author of Jesus is Better Than You Imagined; senior columnist for Religion News Service)This book sets men free from the culture-driven standards of masculinity and welcomes us into a Jesus-shaped humanity. Going beyond the tired old stereotypes of manhood, Nate gives us a redeemed vision for what it means to be a man after God's own heart. Deeply pastoral, well-written, and insightful, this book will bring healing to many. (- Sarah Bessey, author of Jesus Feminist)Wow! Nate Pyle has written a brilliant and much needed book. He has exposed all our culturally driven views of 'manhood' that conflict with who Jesus calls men to be. The self-made, independent, muscle-bound, don't-take-nothing-from-no-one American man shares little in common with Jesus as he's revealed in Scripture. Thank you Nate for writing this book! Now I don't have to. (-Preston Sprinkle (Ph.D.), Vice President for Eternity Bible College's Boise extension and author of Charis: God's Scandalous Grace for Us and Fight:A Christian Case for)Nate Pyle's Man Enough offers a surprisingly unique take on the topic of biblical masculinity. By centering the conversation on the ideals of Jesus, Pyle not only challenges many of the stereotypical concepts regarding evangelical masculinity but also offers a broader and more varied perspective for what it means to be a man in light of the Gospel. Pyle's delivery is gracious and thoughtful, tackling 'manhood' without ego and arrogance. Through a pastoral lens--using both theology and self-deprecation to his favor--Pyle expounds deeply on what it means to be both Christian and man. (-Matthew Paul Turner, author of Churched and Our Great Big American God)In a world where so many of us wrestle with chronic feelings of inadequacy and engage in a constant state of comparing ourselves to both others and invented ideals, Nate Pyle’s Man Enough speaks much needed words of healing and validation. With the heart of a pastor and the pen of a poet, Nate invites us to reconsider the source of our cultural concepts of masculinity and helps us to rediscover a manhood beyond some of the not-so-helpful messages we’ve received over the years. This book is one that I found to be soothing ointment on old wounds--- a message I wished I was given before I transitioned into adulthood, but am tremendously grateful to have now. Rarely does a first time author hit it out of the park on their first swing, but that’s exactly what Nate has done--- Man Enough is one of those books that needs to be moved to the top of the pile. (-Benjamin L. Corey, author of Undiluted: Rediscovering the Radical Message of Jesus)When we talk about “Being a man” in Christian circles, the conversation often centers around a distorted image of masculinity that doesn’t represent the life, ministry and calling of Christ. To put it bluntly, the church needs a bigger dose of Jesus in its dialogue about manhood. Thank goodness we can count on Nate Pyle for that. In his book Man Enough, we’re finally offered a refreshing perspective on male identity - one that is centered fully on the depth of Christ, rather than the one-dimensional, cage-fighting model of our culture. As a woman married to a man and a mother to a son, I’m so grateful for Nate’s brave writing and leadership in these pages. This is a must-read for both women and men in the church and I can’t recommend it enough. (-Nish Weiseth, author of “Speak: How Your Story Can Change the World)Man Enough breaks from the pack of man-books to liberate men from false conceptions of masculinity. Male readers will not come away with a deflated sense that they are never man enough. Women readers will encounter a brand of manhood here that gives hope to the men they love. Nate Pyle’s search for answers recaptures a gospel vision of manhood that is good news for both men and women. (-Carolyn Custis James, author of Malestrom: Manhood Swept into the Currents of a Changing World)Nate Pyle has brought charitable and generous consideration to a topic marked by hostility and resentment. A fine work of biblical meditation, cultural critique, and prayerful study, Man Enough challenges conservative and liberal notions of gender norms while encouraging meaningful dialogue between the two. Pastoral, convicting, Pyle has authored a book well-suited to the needs of our time. (-Preston Yancey, Canon Theologian and author of Tables in the Wilderness: A Memoir of God Found, Lost, and Found Again)Nate's book is a timely contribution to a sadly one-sided conversation on masculinity. Through an engagement with scripture, sociology, and honest self disclosure, Nate invites us not to conform to some contemporary 'muscular' version of masculinity, but to the vulnerable Lamb, in whom we need not strive, perform, or prove ourselves. His chapter on Jesus is worth the price of the book alone. I pray that it is used as a pathway to freedom and vulnerability for men. (-Dr. Chuck DeGroat - Associate Professor of Pastoral Care at Western Theological Seminary and author of The Toughest People to Love)The Spirit of the Lord brings freedom, and I can sense the Spirit of the Lord all over the pages of this book. Men will find freedom from their insecurities, the standards of others, and the combative manliness that has taken hold in some Christian circles. Nate Pyle leads the way toward Christ-centered manhood with vulnerability, gentleness, and a sharp focus on the example of Jesus. (-Ed Cyzewski, author of A Christian Survival Guide and Coffeehouse Theology)Vulnerable. Honest. Humble. Not words you usually associate with a book on manhood, but Nate Pyle nails them here. I love how Man Enough points us to Jesus, and insists our thinking must ultimately be centered around him. While Nate and I don’t land in all the same places, I was refreshed by his boldness in declaring we must allow Christ to critique our cultural assumptions around what it means to be “man enough,” because he is the One who is more than enough, and frees us from our posturing and pretending to become more truly human. (-Joshua Ryan Butler, Author of The Skeletons in God’s Closet)Nate Pyle’s heartfelt exploration of Jesus-shaped masculinity is both a confrontation and an invitation. It exposes all the places I attempt to hide, but it also beckons me to come out of hiding by choosing the road of risky vulnerability. I have nothing but high praise for Man Enough. (- Steve Wiens, author of Beginnings (NavPress, January 2016), and Senior Pastor of Genesis Covenant Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.)In our sexualized society where confusion reigns, Nate Pyle has written a much needed book. Through powerful, vulnerable story telling of his own journey into manhood, he offers a solidly biblical look at the journey that every man must take. He draws illustrations from academia and popular culture in a book that is both profound and easily readable. I highly recommend this book. (-Jim Herrington, Mission Houston)

Starting with Promise Keepers and influenced by John Eldredge's books, men's ministries seem to have flourished, emphasizing shooting guns, eating wild game, growing beards, and thumping chests. OK, I'm being a bit facetious; I know much good has come from these ministries. But, as Nate Pyle writes in Man Enough: How Jesus Redefines Manhood, it may be that men's ministries are missing the mark when they characterize manliness by hunting and fishing, sports, cars, and cooking on the grill. These men movements have been built in reaction to what is viewed as a feminization of the church. Pyle argues that the emphasis on the "wild man" has "encouraged some men while emasculating and alienating others." Not all men are into hunting and sports. In fact, the image many men's ministries promote is more an American ideal than a biblical ideal, the self-made man, the independent hero, the star athlete.Taking Jesus as our model, we see he was not a warrior, a fighter, or a football player. He was humble, a servant. We want to emulate him by exhibiting the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, traits that are typically viewed as more feminine. Further, Paul writes that there is no longer male and female in Christ; both men and women are called to become more like Christ.Pyle in no way diminishes gender differences. Clearly men and women are different and have different roles. His task is to remind us that "Jesus showed us that to be fully human is to embrace the masculine and feminine qualities that exist within all of us." He concludes, "the world doesn't need a manlier man; the world needs a more human man."Pyle writes with compassion while challenging the reader to be more like Christ and not aim to be more like a modern, American image of a "real man." There's nothing wrong with such an image, but it's not the primary ideal to which Christians should aim. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the complimentary electronic review copy!

By Mr. Geurs As a Christian man interested in self-improvement, a book with a title like Man Enough: How Jesus Redefines Manhood would seem to be an engaging topic for a book. Admittedly, I was anticipating a 21st century rendition of John Eldredge’s Wild At Heart. While that is not exactly what I got in this book, I still found a challenging, engaging read on the topic of what it means to be a Christian and a man in today’s society.Nate Pyle sets forth the thesis that the modern man is mistaken if being a man means being stoic, aloof, or overly macho and brutish. While he acknowledges that these are aspects of manhood, these are not all there is. In Man Enough, Pyle challenges men to accept those parts of themselves if they are there, but not at forsaking the other parts of being human: servitude, emotions, compassion, authenticity, and vulnerability. Pyle’s whole book could even be encapsulated in one quote: “If men are to fight, then we need to be clear what it is we fight for. Peace. Reconciliation. Grace. Justice. But let’s be clear: We are mad not for conflict but for action” (Man Enough, p. 76).Though this is a book intended for a manly audience, Pyle does spend moments throughout the book acknowledging a potential female readership of Man Enough. Throughout, when he brings up points for how men should live in the light of the example of the human Jesus, he also brings up that these principles are not isolated to the Y chromosome set and that in reality all humans should step up to the challenge of doing things like standing for justice or for being a servant of others.Man Enough is the addition to the conversation of what masculinity could/should look like in the modern Church. If I have one critique, it is that Pyle brings up the notion that there should be something specific that the word ‘masculinity’ denotes, otherwise the word is meaningless. And while Pyle does put forth a good argument for why men should emulate certain characteristics of Christ, Pyle never comes back to what gravitas ‘masculinity’ carries. Unless that is the point.I received my copy of this book for free through the BookLook Bloggers program in exchange for publishing a review of it. I was not obligated to publish a positive review; the opinions contained are mine.

As a man who doesn't fit into the "macho man" stereotype reinforced by society, this book read like a liberation song, encouraging me, and every other man and woman, to stop trying to be "man enough" or "woman enough," and start trying to be Christ-like, to be more fully human. Several chapters even brought me to tears. Reading books on manhood or womanhood usually leave me feeling frustrated, devalued, and ignored, but this is the first book I've ever read on the subject that left me feeling fulfilled, encouraged, and driven to get the book into the hands of all my family and friends! I cannot recommend it enough, and I will be talking about this book with people for a long time!

From Booklist Williams, author of the best-selling A Hundred Summers (2013), conjures up another substantive beach read steeped in history and familial intrigue. Separated by 50 years but joined together in spirit and ambition, Vivian Schuyler and Violet Schuyler Grant share equal parts of the narrative flow as the story leapfrogs back and forth between 1964 New York and 1914 Berlin. When Vivian accepts delivery of a musty parcel from the past, she is compelled to unlock the secrets that have shrouded the memory of her Great Aunt Violet. Though the blue-blooded Schuyler family has done its best to bury and ignore Violet’s disgraceful past—she was, after all, determined to pursue a career as a scientist!—the deeper Vivian digs, the more invested she becomes in Violet’s story. Rumor has it that Violet murdered her husband and mentor, Dr. Walter Grant, before mysteriously disappearing with her lover on the eve of WWI. As Vivian closes in on the past, she has a heart-wrenching problem of her own to resolve in the present. And so many one-liners, they will keep you on your toes through the whole book By I Do The Speed Limit And, oh!, what a brilliant story teller is Ms. Beatriz!I read novels; I review novels: And It takes a lot of my time. Why do I do it? Because, once in a great while, I run across a book like this, and it makes all my time and effort worth while. The two stories--one playing against the other, chapter after chapter--an aunt and a niece; one story before the First World War, the other story much later on in New York City--with their unexpected twists and turns: So sweet, so complicated, so honest and gullible and right. The main character, a journalist in pursuit of a story that involves her youngest aunt--and a murder--and a disappearance; a story which could make her career, pitted against a family that wants to keep the aunt's story mum; her perseverance, her chutzpah, and a man--there is always a man.....The main character has so much pizzazz, so many one-liners up her sleeve, so witty, such a beautiful face, hair, body; so much going for her, yet so alone and lonely. From the first page to the last page: It is a complete, wonderful, perfectly wrapped, elaborate package, tied with a beautiful, flamboyant bow,and presented to the reader. Best book I've read in quite a while.

When I hear the term "romance novel" I run screaming. This isn't one of those insipid pieces of blech that I usually assume a romance novel will be. This book is so much more than that.Vivian Schuyler was born wealthy but is living in a crap apartment, trying to make it on her own in the 1960's. A trip to the post office brings a mysterious suitcase and a handsome doctor. The suitcase, she learns, belonged to her great-aunt Violet, a woman even more daring and independent than Vivian, who left her family behind to study physics in England in 1911. The doctor ends up being more mysterious than she bargained for as well. The book switches between time periods and between the two protagonists, Vivian and Violet, and it does so in a perfectly smooth and coherent way. There are many similarities between the two women and neither of them know if they can trust the man each of them is in love with. There is nothing predictable about The Secret Life of Violet Grant and it held my interest the entire time. I highly recommend it.

First, an old suitcase had been sent to her by mistake. After some digging around, she discovers the valise actually belonged to an aunt Violet Schuyler Grant who had left her affluent New York family to pursue her study of science in England, but later murdered her husband and disappeared with her lover. The Schuylers have neither heard from her or talked about her since.Vivian's second surprise was the handsome Doctor Paul who volunteered to carry the large package home from the post office. Charming and helpful, Vivian can't get the doctor or her newly discovered aunt off her mind.Vivian will discover the truth regarding what happened between her aunt Violet and her professor husband on the eve of the first World War, while learning just how much heartache and love her own heart can handle. The Secret Life of Violet Grant by Beatriz Williams is a definite page turner. It's another split narrative (so many of those lately) as the reader follows both Vivian's search for the truth and Violet's life with Professor Grant in alternating chapters. That formula works well in William's novel. I enjoyed both the intrigue of Violet's story and Vivian's melodramatic love life as well as the satisfying and bridging conclusion.Vivian's spunky character is unforgettable. Her absolute open candor and her 1964 short skirts are daring and delightful. While she's open and frank, Vivian is more vulnerable than she lets on and she works her way right into the reader's heart. She's definitely my favorite part of the novel. There are some disturbing sex scenes and vulgar language.

Our Lives Matter uses the tenor of the 2014 national protests that emerged as a response to excessive police force against Black people to frame the book as following the discursive tradition of liberation theologies broadly speaking and womanist theology specifically. Using a womanist methodological approach, Pamela R. Lightsey helps readers explore the impact of oppression against Black LBTQ women while introducing them to the emergent intellectual movement known as queer theology. The author privileges their narratives and experiences as she reviews several doctrines and dogma of the Christian church. Theological reflection on contemporary debates such as same-sex marriage and ordination rights make this book a valuable resource to clergy, students of theology, LGBTQ persons and allies.

Review ''Writing in the shadow of mass killings of unarmed black persons in the United States, Lightsey's Our Lives Matter: A Womanist Queer Theology is a timely publication. This valuable interdisciplinary resource provides a succinct overview of the doctrine of creation that is informed by a discussion on identity. Our Lives Matter challenges readers to move beyond theory and to acknowledge the full humanity of all persons and is a must-read for any who self-identifies as Christian.''--Angela D. Sims, Dean of Academic Programs and Associate Professor of Ethics and Black Church Studies, Saint Paul School of Theology --Wipf and Stock Publishers

Get ready for a roller coaster full of adventure, magic and anarchy! Nonexistents is a provocative urban fantasy fueled by pop culture, rock nostalgia and a striking sense of humor.Turkish author DoÄŸu Yücel takes the reader to the amazing city of Istanbul where a perfectly ordinary white collar finds himself in the middle of perfectly extraordinary events.Threading a subtle criticism of the system, Nonexistents illustrates a perfect instance of urban fantasy literature and pushes the boundaries of magical realism. A wonderful blend of both genres, it will remind you of literary masterworks such as Neil Gaiman's "American Gods", Palahniuk's "Fight Club" as well as Alan Moore's "V for Vendetta". Nonexistents is not just a novel, it's also a manifesto for dreamers all around the world. The hero of this fast-paced adventure in Istanbul is a young financier with some family issues and an incomplete love story. One day he writes a story with an antique fountain pen that belonged to his deceased father. The next day, he comes across a news article wherein the same event appears to have occurred exactly as he had described in the story. While our protagonist investigates this mystery, he encounters a secret that can change the world.Beautifully translated to English by AyÅŸe Lucie Batur, you will be amazed while reading Nonexistents, which has become an important cult novel in Turkey.

Review "Nonexistents, both a realist and a supernatural novel, is enriched with a strong political criticism that is rarely encountered in Turkish literature. There are many reasons for reading Nonexistents, but there seems no reason not to." -Remzi Kitabevi"With Nonexistents, DoÄŸu Yücel shows that he belongs to the best authors of his generation. By pushing the limits of reality in his story, which to some may seem like fantasy, he actually tells us about the reality itself." -NTVMSNBC"You'll read Nonexistents in a heartbeat. Just like a Stephen King masterpiece!" -Savas Oguz"Nonexistents is the most powerful among the recently written books on the value of imagination." -Cumhuriyet Kitap

About the Author DoÄŸu Yücel is a noted author, screenwriter and music journalist in Turkey. His debut novel Ghost Book was adapted to film whose soundtrack was composed by Kevin Moore of the Dream Theater fame. By lovestoplay I read Nonexistents first in Turkish and now I read it in English and it still amazes me how this book flows this fast. Nonexistents is a real page turner with a character all its own. The novel can be described as an urban fantasy but this description will be lacking. This is a fantastic novel yet it's very very realistic. Dogu Yucel invents a new wave of magical realism here. Maybe we must find a new genre like "realistic magic" for Nonexistents. And the best part of Nonexistents is its humor. You'll be amazed, you'll be thrilled and you'll laugh a lot during this Istanbul adventure.

Sci-Fi that explores so much about modern society: and what's missing By Kindle Customer This is a very clever, funny, sexy book that - for me anyway - spoke about the creativity that is lost under modern capitalism. It's structured in complex layers like a Borges book and it also reminded me of Doris Lessing's Sci-Fi.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great audio By Cyn This book takes off where book 2 leaves off traveling back in time to make things right. The author gives you an action pack read full of danger and thrills that will keep you guessing as she throws in a little humor to keep you smiling. This is just a little more completed and you will have to pay a little closer attention or you will find yourself going back in re-listening a few times. I really enjoyed the science fiction military thriller.D'Artagnan might have been raised and trained by his father who was a criminal. He believe his father until he found the true reason behind all his father was. He switched sides bring his father down as he becomes a D.I.R.E agent. It is a run against time as he goes after the traitors from the past before they destroy the future. He has already time traveled back now DIRE builds his body so he can travel back in time with no machine. Dar finds his self torn between helping the past to save the future and his feelings for Jocelyn who has woken up with no memory. Dar is a very passionate man but is a true gentleman giving her time to remember her past and come to terms with what she will find out.Jocelyn wants to do what is right for the world but doesn't want to give up Dar. As she remembers she knows she must go back to make a wrong right so there is a tomorrow for the rest. It is tough to do what is right when your heart is being torn apart. She loves Dar but she loves her family. She has some tough choices to make. Jocelyn is a very compassionate person. She is sweet and kind and truly a wonderful character. She is about to find out life isn't as she sees it. She doesn't know who she can trust anymore. Her father and stepmother have so much they are hiding. How can the ones who have been so kind and raised her be so evil?I thought Fred Filbrich did a wonderful job of narration. The only issue I found was I could hear him swallow. I did find one I heard it I found myself listening for it which might add to me noticing it in this one more so than in the first audio of this series. I thought he brought the characters to life giving them wonderful voices with lots of action. His tones where right on the money you were never left guessing as to how the character was feeling. You could hear the pain, smiles and excitement with each one. I heard no background noise and I could not tell if he ever took a break. It was even flow throughout the whole narration. It was easy to tell if the character was male or female as he changed back and forward. I really enjoyed his narration and do look forward to listening to him some more. The author gives you an action pack read as she brings surprise after surprise to the readers. This is really a complicated read with everything each of the characters are hiding. Nothing is as it seems and then the past comes and hits you in the face leaving the characters guessing as to what just happen. The author gives you very strong characters which you will come to love. I am sure you will be like me and can't wait to listen to the other audios in this series. The ending of this story will leave you begging for more. I know I can't wait to start the next one. The authors writing style is out of this world she knows how to pull you in as she spins a tale leaving you hooked. She knows how to heat the pages up as she keeps you laughing at the messes they get into. She gives you a passion filled read that will leave you smiling. She brings enhancements to her characters giving them super powers that you can only imagine. Before you are done with this read your head will be spinning as to who is related to whom. She takes you to another place in time as she brings the past to the future and back again. She keeps you smiling and laughing out loud at the story she spins. This is one heck of a ride you do not want to miss.

Dionne d’Artagnan (Dar) Naylor’s whole life has been thrown into chaos since he’s been residing at the D.I.R.E. Nevada compound as a prisoner. His father’s criminal activities have been the downfall of Naylor Interests and the old man’s abusive words have instilled a sense of self-doubt in both Dar and his twin sister Cassandra. Since coming under the D.I.R.E. agencies care, many truths about the reasons behind Robert’s actions have come to light – and Dar finds himself in the shocking position of being welcomed into the D.I.R.E. agency as an agent with the ability to time travel.Jocelyn Chalmers traveled through time from the World War II era and finds herself facing a new reality in the year twenty thirteen. With no memory of her own identity or how she’s come to be amongst the D.I.R.E. agents she’s more than a little scared but feels safe whenever she’s with Dar. There’s no denying that she’s incredibly attracted to the man, but reality is there’s no guarantee that they’ll have a future together since she belongs in the past and there’s no telling how not returning her to her former life would affect the here and now.It isn’t long before Jocelyn regains her memory and is besieged with the need to finish what she started – namely acquiring the weapons technology of the future to help put an end to Hitler’s reign and end the senseless deaths of so many innocent people. Her own father and step-mother are even guilty of aiding the Nazis – and adding to Jocelyn’s nightmare of becoming just another statistic because she’s not blonde haired and blue eyed. Returning to the past might be a death sentence for Jocelyn but Dar’s new enhancements mean he can transport back in time and take the weapons technology – only things aren’t going to play out the way she wants and the situation is way more complicated than she could have ever imagined. As a whole I absolutely loved the D.I.R.E. Agency series, but I have to admit, AGENT T3: D’ARTAGNAN was definitely the most involved, complex story of the three (and I sincerely hope there will be more D.I.R.E. Agency stories in the future). Aside from the sweet romance brewing between Jocelyn and Dar, there are stunning revelations about the connections between everyone involved constantly being revealed – and the heartbreaking reality that sometimes family just can’t be trusted. Dar and Jocelyn are ‘two of a kind’, they’ve done things they aren’t proud of, but their outlook on life is heartwarming and it’s so obvious they genuinely love each other even if a future between them is uncertain.AGENT T3: D’ARTAGNAN is the third title in Joni Hahn’s D.I.R.E. AGENCY series and I’m kind of bummed that there aren’t any more available so I can get my fix of hunks with special abilities, that’s alright though since I’m sure I’ll be rereading these and haunting Ms. Hahn’s website for news about upcoming titles. If you haven’t done so already, be sure to pick up copies of the first two titles in this series:AGENT I1: TRISTANandAGENT E2: AIDANChrissy Dionne (courtesy of Romance Junkies)

By Jean Cantor Coming into her full powers has been both physically and emotionally painful for Riley. Not yet ready to meet her Royal Fae father, who is unaware of her existence, he and her mate Finn again go into battle against Prio, Finns half-brother. Armed with love and the power they both wield, Riley and Finn find they need the help of the family she has yet to meet to defend not only Finns land, but human life as well. First Riley finally decides to read the journal her grandmother left for her. Talk about a shock for her. She learns a lot about who and what she is.Then it’s decided they will visit Finn’s homeland and talk to his uncle about the issue at hand. Well that was a big mistake. So much transpires and these two yet again have to deal with life and death situations. Finn’s mother well what she truly is has now become known and although Finn refuses to believe what happens gives no room for doubt. As with all of Claudy Conn books the one thing I love is she brings us many characters from previous books and series. Well we have them a plenty in this book which makes it fantastic for readers who love a few of her other series. We get scorching hot passion, we have over the top action and at the end you get another shock of what is to come. Loved this book could not put it down.I highly recommend that you start with Journey book 1. If you love Fae you will love this book.
