The feeling of the 1880s is authentic; the characters don't anachronistically think and speak in modern speech. They were very likeable and sympathetic (except for one of them). It was perhaps just a tad too idyllic but that, to me, is better than traumatic occurrences for the sake of conflict. I wanted something pleasant to read before going to sleep. I highly recommend it if you want a well-written, pleasant story that will cheer you after a hard day.

With her father now senile, Leah has had the responsibility of selling his business and settling his affairs. At 24, with her mother having died twelve years ago, Leah and her father are at the mercy of her brother Walter and his wife, Jane. When Leah reads a letter from Jane's sister, May, who was a mail order bride, it leads to Jane and Leah looking through the advertisements in the paper. Is there one suitable for Leah?Is #157 the one? "Billings Innkeeper seeks well-read lady for honorable matrimony and conversation." Delightful letters follow back and forth between Henry and Leah but will their friendship be the same when they meet in person?A truly sweet and lovely, short romance. If you are looking for a book to read whilst putting your feet up for a couple of hours and one that doesn't require much thinking but will let you escape from reality then I highly recommend this one. Although classed as a Christian western, there is not much Christianity talked about apart from going to church. SO even non-Christians will enjoy this book as it is a very sweet and clean romance.

She has so many admirable qualities and it was a very touching story with wonderful background stories and tastes from an earlier century. I will be reading the rest of this series.

The Cross of Sins (Fathom's Five Book 1), by Geoffrey Knight

Review The last hetero bastion has been breached! The gay action heroes have arrived, guns blazing, chests rippling, and yes, they get the guy in the end! Welcome, Fathom's Five. Story by Cameron Jewell.

Love a good Matthew Reilly action adventure read but would prefer a gay hero for once? Well, the high-octane airport novel has finally got together with our favourite genre: gay.

"I love storytellers like Matthew Reilly and Dan Brown," says Sydney-based author Geoffrey Knight, "and I love a good page-turner." But for Knight there was always a piece of action missing - the man-on-man kind.

"I was so tired of heterosexual heroes with one eye on the treasure and the other eye on a busty blonde female scientist. I desperately wanted the object of lust to be another hunky hero, so I decided to write the kind of books that I wanted to read," he says.

"Straight or gay, I think most guys like action plots. But for me, as a gay man, other stories lack any sort of physical attraction or sexual dynamic between the characters that interests me."

The result of Knight's endeavours is an action series called Fathom's Five, described as part Bond with lashings of The Da Vinci Code.

The Cross of Sins, the first book of the Fathom's Five series has received so much interest that Knight has already completed the second instalment and is busy at work on a third. His inspiration comes from a childhood of James Bond films and "reading far too many comics and action-adventure novels."

"I remember seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark as a kid and it changed my life," he says. "When I started writing Fathom's Five, I also wanted to marry together my love of action with my love of travel. I think the world's an amazing place. There are so many incredible things to see and do, which provides endless plot devices."

The Cross of Sins tells the tale of an ancient statue, which is considered blasphemous by a clandestine religious sect who plan to find it and destroy it at any cost. The clues to finding the statue are scattered across Europe. Enter Fathom's Five, a group of thrill-seeking gay men with the expertise to uncover the secrets and reveal one of religion's greatest mysteries.

The soon-to-be famous five include Luca da Roma, an Italian model and expert in art, both ancient and modern; Dr Eden Santiago, Brazilian biologist, physician and genetic engineer; Shane Houston, a Texas cowboy and an expert in cartography; Will Hunter, a San Diego college student and football star, majoring in ancient history; and Jake Stone, an adventurer-for-hire from New York and the newest member of Professor Fathom's team of hot gay adventure seekers.

If this scenario rings any bells maybe it's because it sounds an awful lot like VIP, the action series starring Pamela Anderson and her four foxy bodyguards. Or maybe it's Fox Force Five of Pulp Fiction fame? Or a gayer Charlie's Angels? Whatever the references, Fathom's Five is still a tent-full of camp fun, packed with action and sex, and while easy to file under "paperback trash", it's very entertaining and surpisingly well-written for the genre.

Aside from the sex and camp, Knight feels it has a deeper significance. "It makes a statement about being gay and proud of it, and belonging to a strong, caring community," he says.

"As a gay man I think we've all got rights to stand up for and equality to fight for, and storytelling is a powerful thing. As a writer, if you've got something important to say, you don't necessarily need to make it dull or preachy. You can still have fun, keep it sexy, roll it up in a fast-paced plot and let what you want to say unravel through your characters and your story. Yes, Fathom's Five is something to read on a plane, but it's relevant as well as entertaining.

"At the end of the day, I simply wanted to create gay characters that gay men could cheer for, relate to and escape with in the thick of a page-turning adventure."

Expect the Fathom's gang in Australia, too. Says Knight, "Australian guys are so damn hot, how could I not bring the boys Down Under for a little sex and adventure?" --DNA Magazine, May 2008

Review In Geoffrey Knight's erotic, adventure novel, you'll find not one, but five, gay action heroes. Thrills and spills guaranteed. ?Tina Turner once sang: "We don't need another hero." She was wrong. Dead wrong! We need all the gay heroes we can find. And found one I did. Well, five actually: Luca, model and art expert; Eden, Brazilian biologist; Shane, Texas cowboy; Will, ancient history major; and Jake, adventurer. They make up Professor Fathom's five gay heroes who are nothing at all like Enid Blyton's Famous Five. These guys are hot. And fuck. Other hot guys.??Geoffrey Knight's Fathom's Five: The Cross of Sins (STARbooks Press) is a page-turning romp: a hard-core sex outer shell with a mystery thriller centre concerning a sacrilegious statue, The Naked Christ, which a secret sect of the church is attempting to destroy. Enter our heroes. And enter Sydneysider, Geoffrey Knight, who is taking on the big names of gay erotic adventure fiction and surpassing them.

"I've been writing stories since I was a kid," Geoff tells SX.

"I grew up on too much Aquaman in comics, too much Indiana Jones at the movies, too many Clive Cussler adventure novels and far too much Flash Gordon aka Sam Jones posing nude for Playgirl."

A pile of rejection letters "as thick as the white pages!" for his heterosexual action thrillers a decade ago convinced him to write the kind of novel that he wanted to read.

"There's really nothing out there that ticks all the boxes for a gay man who loves action fiction. So I decided to tick the boxes myself: it had to have lots of hot gay guys in it; it had to have lots of edge-of-your-seat action; and it had to have man-on-man sex to keep it moving. But above all, it had to have characters that I cared about and a plot that made sense. I wanted to write the kind of mass market action novel that Clive Cussler and Matthew Reilly write, only my characters just happen to be gay."

But is the world ready for not one, but five hot and horny gay adventurers?

"God I hope so! We gay men have been reading and watching the adventures of James Bond and Indiana Jones and Dirk Pitt all our lives; I think the adventures of five gorgeous gay heroes is long overdue!! Why should heterosexual men have all the fun with their over-the-top, page-turning action novels? This book is for gay men and bisexual men everywhere, guys who love a boys' own adventure, but instead of a busty blonde female being the object of desire, my heroes always get their man in the end!"

Considering the author's nationality, it's odd there is no Aussie hero. To make amends an Aussie will join the group in a future adventure. "His name is Travis, he's a jackaroo and a pilot in the outback, he's young and he's HOT! (This is one farmer who doesn't want a wife!)"

Geoffrey is already well into the sequels. "The Fathom's Five team is established now, and in the next novel, The Riddle of the Sands, it's straight to Egypt for a mystery adventure filled with secret tombs, ancient traps and maybe a steamy scene or two in a Cairo bathhouse. The action is faster, the villains are more evil, and the boys have to save one of their own by finding a secret, legendary pyramid consumed by the desert thousands of years ago. After that, we're taking the high road to China for The Eye of the Dragon."? Fathom's Five: The Cross of Sins is recommended for big boys who like their adventure gay and with lots of sweaty mansex.

Review Fathom's Five Volume One: The Cross of Sins revolves around the adventures of five young men and the Professor they work for. While each of the men has separate lives, they eagerly return to the Professor when needed. With the help of Jake, their newest member, they head out in search of the fabled Cross of Sins, an ancient sculpture said to depict a naked Christ on a cross. Hidden away long ago to keep it from being destroyed by the church, the cross has once again become important. Trying to find the cross before an overzealous religious sect does, the five men face numerous challenges and obstacles.

Anyone who loves action/adventure books and movies is sure to love Geoffrey Knight's Fathom's Five: The Cross of Sins. Mr. Knight has loaded this book with non-stop action described in such a way that the reader cannot help but "see" Jake as he tries to cross a natural bridge spanning a lake of lava or Luca as he struggles to hold on to the only thing connecting him to a past he knows nothing about. With secret rooms, underwater fights, and of course the 'bad guys' it is very easy to imagine this story on the big screen. I loved the twists and turns in the story and was shocked to discover who the main `bad guy' was. I can't wait to see more of the Professor's men!

Fathom's Five: The Cross of Sins by Geoffrey Knight By Elisa In the best James Bond or Indiana Jones tradition, the Fathom's Five are five handsome, skilled and clever gay men working for Professor Fathom as treasure hunter. Almost half the book is spent to introduce us to the five:- Jake Stone, the newest member of the group, is a bit of a lonely wolf; he is "for hire", means that if you pay him enough, he will find everything you want. Jake is not a bad man, he is only used to take care of himself, and only himself. His only Achilles' heel is young Sam, a street kid he shelters in his New York loft.- 19 years old Will Hunter is the spoiled and neglected son of an American diplomat; he has everything he wants in life, but it's never enough. Will is young, friendly and careless and in this moment he has nothing and noone important in his life (well he is only 19 years old!) and so he can play like if life is a big game.- Shane Houston is your classical western hero, hat and horse and all of it. Always ready for an adventure, he faces every new challenge full front, caring very less for his own safety, but as an old fashioned cowboy, you can always count on him when you are in trouble.- Dr Eden Santiago is the high head levelled of their group; he seems always in control, always ready to face every events. The less playful of the group, he is probably the one that has less open endings in his life and so, for this reason, he is the more reliable of all of them. Everyone can count on Eden, and loving him will never being an hazard.- Luca da Roma is the most beautiful of all of them, he is beautiful like an angel, and in fact he has a very special relationship with God. Luca is an orphan and he was raised by three nuns in a remote Italian convent. He doesn't know who were his parents, but, after all, he hasn't had a bad life. When he was still a teen he went in Rome and he became the muse of a lot of artists, on the canvas and on the sheet, and as they took from him inspiration, he drank from them the love for arts. But Luca seems never to be happy, he has quite a mourning attitude and he seems in searching of something that always slips from his hands. The new quest for this five heroes is to track down an ancient holy cross, a Renaissance artwork who caused the death of his creator since it was framed as sacrilegious. To recover the artifact our heroes as to find two stone tables and an ancient book, the three pieces together will led them to the treasure. But obviously they are not the only one in this hunting party, and their enemies know well how to hit them where it hurts, and I'm not speaking of body parts. The book is really good in mixing fun, sex and adventure, playing all around the World, from Tonga to Italy, from Turkey to England. Our heroes, when not running away from gunshots and explosion, are involved in sexy escapades along a swimming pool or in poshy five stars hotel. There is a bit of "naughty" talk during sex, but it's never too much to ruin the sophisticated feeling that permeates all the book, and, on the other hand, the fun and careless sex helps to balance the adventure part, so that even a less adventurous reader will find it enjoyable and interesting. All five heroes are enough developed that the reader could care for them, but from my side, my favorite is Luca, maybe since he is Italian. I have no problem to say that I will look forward to the following book in this new exciting series.

What a freaking ride! *fans self*I think the first thing you need to know is this is not a romance. There are romantic elements in the story but it's not a romance so if you go into this novel expecting a romance, you'll be sorely disappointed. What you will find is an adventure, a mystery that takes you on a wild ride leaving you on the edge of your seat wondering what's going to happen next, what will the Fathom's Five get into and how will they get out of the trouble they inevitably create for themselves?!One of the things I especially loved about this book was how you are slowly introduced to the characters one at a time. There's no overload of characters and information in the beginning. There's no confusion on who or what the MCs are because each of the five main characters are introduced in a way that suits their personalities and you learn about who they are while they are comfortably in their own elements. It was just amazing. Each of the Fathom's Five are different. Jake is a brash New Yorker, Shane's the gentlemanly Texan, Luca is the charming Italian, Eden is the calming Brazilian doctor and Will is the bad boy Californian. They each have interesting personalities that somehow compliment each others' characters. For some reason I found it all refreshing.I found the adventures they all went on to be extremely fascinating. I fell so deep into this book I felt like I was actually living every little detail. It made my heart race when one of them (mostly Jake) teetered on the edge of death and then sighed with relief when they reached relative safety. Then went through more heart racing when they just got themselves into more danger! It was exhausting but at the same time I didn't want to stop reading. And, OMG, how my heart broke for Luca when he found out who the Holy Father was. Poor sweet Luca!!!I devoured those pages faster than I thought possible. I was intrigued by every minor character introduced. They all have some type of purpose and eventually I have no doubt all will be revealed, too. I can't wait to read the rest of this series! Especially since it sounds like the mysterious Sam will be a major part of the next book, The Riddle of the Sands.Absolutely recommended!!!! But be warned it leaves on a cliff-hanger!ETA: And, the little short about Elsa at the end was so cute and funny but even with how short it was, it was action-packed!! And I loved getting a little more inside information about the boys in the 'Who Is?' section at the end. ;-)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Jam Packed Action Adventure! By deb1210 Wow! Jam packed action thriller! I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I was pleasantly surprised! First off, this is not a romance per se, so do not expect that from this book! I love the Indiana Jones movies and this is more along those lines so I was enthralled from the get-go! There are romantic elements involved but it's the mystery and adventure and action that drive this story! You are literally on the edge of your seat reading at break-neck speed to find out what happens next!We are introduced to the Fathom Five one at a time, in their individual lives, so you get a sense of who they are and how they behave. There's no page on page of boring details to weed through. I liked that aspect. All are very different so they bring varied elements to the "team". Jake is a New Yorker and kind of cocky, take care of business, kind of guy. Shane is a Texan cowboy type with manners. Luca is a suave Italian who was orphaned and raised by nuns. Eden is a Brazilian doctor with a level-headed, calm and cool, bed-side manner. And finally, Will is a young, typical bad-boy from California. They all seem to complement each other and make the team cohesive. They are treasure hunters and employed to find artifacts around the world.I really enjoyed this treasure hunter adventure. Mr. Knight has a gift of writing because I felt like I was watching this from the sideline. There were times I was reading a mile a minute and then sighing with relief when things smoothed out! The danger was there and the feelings of anxiety too! Their enemies know their weaknesses and try to stop what they are doing at all costs. Good vs. Evil. They literally travel the world for their quest, but seem to have some genuine fun with each other along the way too.I highly recommend this if you are an adventure seeker! It's the first book in the Fathom Five series so now that the cast is introduced, we can get onto the clever adventures that lie ahead! Be warned there is a cliff here. Don't make that a deciding factor for this book though. Just wait until book two is released and read them together! It will be worth the wait!4 stars/2 flamesThis book was provided to me by The Jeep Diva for the express purpose of an honest review. The opinions and rating in this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

It is 1988, and Yellowstone Park is on fire. Among the thousands of summer warriors battling to save America’s crown jewel, is single mother Clare Chance. Having just watched her best friend, a fellow Texas firefighter, die in a roof collapse, she has fled to Montana to try and put the memory behind her. She’s not the only one fighting personal demons as well as the fiery dragon threatening to consume the park. There’s Chris Deering, a Vietnam veteran helicopter pilot, seeking his next adrenaline high and a good time that doesn’t include his wife, and Ranger Steve Haywood, a man scarred by the loss of his wife and baby in a plane crash. They rally around Clare when tragedy strikes yet again, and she loses a young soldier to a firestorm. Three flawed, wounded people; one horrific blaze. Its tentacles are encircling the park, coming ever closer, threatening to cut them off. The landmark Old Faithful Inn and Park Headquarters at Mammoth are under siege, and now there’s a helicopter down, missing, somewhere in the path of the conflagration. And Clare’s daughter is on it.

Yellowstone Superintendent Bob Barbee's Comments By Ragnar BOB BARBEE - YELLOWSTONE SUPERINTENDENT 1983-1988 read SUMMER OF FIRE and called it "uncannily accurate." He also wrote,"Linda Jacobs has produced a gripping novel about one of the most electrifying events in the annals of American wildfires - the great Yellowstone fires of 1988. Through her fictional characters, Jacobs has captured the essence of the emotional coaster, high drama, and the outstanding performance of America's finest wild land fire fighters. She has done her homework well and the setting is completely accurate. This is a compelling work and I had difficulty putting it down."

Needing time away, Claire accompanied by her teenage daughter Devon accepts a temporary assignment at Yellowstone National Park battling a wildfire.During an out of control wildfire, Claire rescues Park Ranger Steve Haywood, who she learns survived a plane crash in which his wife Susan and their child Christa died. He escapes his survivor guilt by overindulging in alcohol. Meanwhile Devon blames the split of her parents on her mother though her father Jay was sleeping with another woman whom he married immediately after their divorce. In a fight with Claire, Devon runs off at night with an inferno heading their way. Distraught Claire obtains some comfort in Steve's arms as they have fallen in love, but first must find a missing seventeen year old before the fire finds her first. The lead couple is a courageous admirable duo while the support cast especially the rescue workers are also brave individuals. However, the star of the tale is the 1988 fire that engulfed Yellowstone National Park threatening the entire wooded treasure. Linda Jacobs, researching the devastation of seventeen years ago, provides a deep passionate thriller in which the romance and the family drama, though well written and entertaining in their own right, take a back seat to a fiery "villain". Ms. Jacobs pays homage to those intrepid firefighters and other responders who risked their lives to battle a raging conflagrationHarriet Klausner

NY Times bestselling author comments on Summer of Fire By Book Lover "Summer of Fire is at once a beautiful and disturbing voyage through the type of hell only firefighters understand. Human, brutal, wrenching. Clare Chance is as genuine a character as they come - brave, vulnerable, well-trained and thrown by her own act of escape into a forested hell. Beautifully crafted and shudderingly real."John J. Nance-NY Times Bestselling author of seventeen aviation thrillers - His 2003 Fire Flight is about the fires of 2000 in Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks.

Includes the First World War Illustrations Pack – 73 battle plans and diagrams and 198 photos E. W. Hornung was a noted English author who wrote around the turn of the Twentieth Century, his most famous creation being the Gentleman Thief, Raffles. During the later years of the First World War (1917-1918), the author visited the military camps of the British army. He was particularly struck by the character of the soldiers in their moments of brief repose out of the firing line and decided to write a semi-fictionalized account of the camps. This volume ‘Notes of a Camp-Follower on the Western Front’ is that account; gripping, emotive and lucid, Hornung’s clear style and vivid eye of detail recreates the British troops that fought in Flanders Fields.

In this second edition of The Great Façade, co-author Christopher A. Ferrara brings the original work up to date with six new chapters addressing what Bishop Athanasius Schneider has called "the fourth great crisis" in the history of the Catholic Church. The additional chapters chronicle the attempts at ecclesial restoration by Benedict XVI and the "Francis revolution" following Benedict's mysterious resignation--including Francis's tumultuous Synod on the Family and his radical reform of the process for determining matrimonial nullity, leading to what some call "Catholic divorce" and a threat of schism on the magnitude of the Lutheran revolt of the 16th century. This new look at the 50 years following the Second Vatican Council is sure to provoke discussion and debate among Catholics concerned about the state of their Church.

The Great Facade: The Regime of Novelty in the Catholic Church from Vatican II to the Francis Revolution (Second Edition), by Christopher A. Ferrara, Jr., Thomas E. Woods

From the Back Cover "There is no doubt in my mind that The Great Façade has been prophetic in the broader scriptural sense of the term. Its authors saw that Catholicism was under obvious assault, that the consequences of its rout would be dreadful, and that their failure to take up arms against a sea of enemies would be a punishable dereliction of duty. Those new to the crisis in the Church as well as old soldiers seeking to recharge intellectual batteries can make use of the book's succinct outline of the modernist positions in matters of faith and morality that so swiftly rode to dominance on the back of the Second Vatican Council."--JOHN RAO, author of Black Legends and the Light of the World"One of the most important books of the post-conciliar era, The Great Façade has earned the right to share the top shelf with such masterworks as the trilogy of Michael Davies, Romano Amerio's Iota Unum and von Hildebrand's The Devastated Vineyard. As the original publisher of this magnum opus, I am delighted that Angelico Press has brought out a new edition in which Mr. Ferrara provides six additional chapters documenting the rapid advances of 'the regime of novelty' following what he calls The Benedictine Respite. With its almost literally up-to-the-minute analysis of 'the Francis Revolution,' this work is now more important than ever."--MICHAEL MATT, Editor, The Remnant"The second edition of The Great Facade tells the story of the crumbling veneer obscuring the glorious Catholic Church, updated to the very eve of its publication. This book is a necessity for anyone who senses the failure of the attempts of neo-Catholics to cover over the cracks in this crumbling edifice of post-conciliar innovation. As always, Chris Ferrara narrates his case against the viruses of novelty and their neo-Catholic apologists with painstaking documentation and a lively and witty style."--BRIAN M. MCCALL, author of To Build the City of God"God is the Most Real Being. In contrast, the note of today's Church often seems unreality--happy talk, avoiding issues, one-sided rhetoric masking self-contradiction and dubious projects. For a while it seemed that repeated disaster might be bringing back a certain sobriety, but no such luck. In such a setting, The Great Facade is more necessary than ever as a spirited brief against the fantasies of recent decades, and an appeal to Catholics and the Church to return to what they have been, in order to become what they most truly are."--JAMES KALB, author of Against Inclusiveness"This long awaited second edition documents the 'regime of novelty' up to the present moment. It contains the most comprehensive analysis of Pope Francis's tumultuous pontificate to date."--JOHN VENNARI, Editor, Catholic Family News"[S]uperb--best analysis of the present, parlous state of the Church I have read.... A marvel of clear, careful argument, and utterly persuasive."--JEFFREY RUBIN, convert and former editor of The Conservative Book Club

33 of 35 people found the following review helpful. Essential reading on the crisis of contemporary Catholicism By Dr. Peter A. Kwasniewski This book is a masterful analysis of the condition of the postconciliar Catholic Church. In chapter after chapter, Ferrara and Woods copiously document the many deviations, innovations, ambiguities, and incoherences that have been imposed by authorities or have crept in willy-nilly, and show how they fly in the face of already-established Catholic doctrine and, indeed, common sense and sound logic. They have the courage to show how the emperor has no clothes and has tried to burn down the wardrobe, while at the same time indicating the only viable path to sanity again, namely, a resolute return to Catholic Tradition.I consider this book to be an ideal companion to H. Sire's "Phoenix from the Ashes," which presents a similar critique against a much broader historical and philosophical background. Sire has the long view, but Ferrara and Woods furnish the nitty-gritty details. Together they are a devastating one-two punch. For those who remember seeing this book, "The Great Facade," when it first appeared in 2002, it is important to recognize that this second edition contains about 250 new pages by Ferrara on the pontificates of Benedict and Francis (given as Part IV of the work). The analysis here is better than anything I've read elsewhere, and goes vastly beyond Sire, who says relatively little about these pontificates. So, even if you already own or have read the first edition, it's well worth it to get the second much-expanded edition, which has, in addition, the advantage of being more handsomely printed and bound. One little thing that may be confusing to readers: the text of Parts I, II, and III of this book are reprinted exactly as they appeared in 2002, so one is stepping into a time-warp when reading those parts and has to bear in mind the chronological perspective (e.g., one is reading about the Holy Father John Paul II and his assistant Cardinal Ratzinger). Once we get to Part IV, we are squarely in 2015. I can see why the authors decided to leave Parts I-III this way; a chronological revision would have involved a total rewriting, and the 2002 edition already has something of the status of a classic that should be left intact as an historical record.

22 of 24 people found the following review helpful. it was clear to me that these Benedictine "changes" were a return to the Tradition of better acknowledging the truths of our fai By TechAndWood "This is Truth!" As someone born three years after Vatican II, but raised by a mother who transmitted traditional truths, I found myself increasingly dismayed by so-called "devout" Catholics who seemed to regard every word and action of our Holy Pontiffs as infallible - including dancing with pagans and kissing the Koran. As a pro-life activist, however, I found myself overlooking his questionable "ecumenical dialogue," in favor of his staunch pro-life and pro-family writings. With Benedict XVI I found it curious that he returned to a "more accurate translation of the Latin in the Novus Ordo," but did not understand why they (the Vatican II Fathers) were so sloppy about it in the first place. In any case, it was clear to me that these Benedictine "changes" were a return to the Tradition of better acknowledging the truths of our faith, Christ's Lordship and our sinfulness. Then the world was blind-sided by Benedict's sudden and mysterious resignation, along with the creation of the title of "Pope Emeritus" ... God may be a "God of surprises" but never in the history of the Church has He ever instructed nor will He ever instruct his shepherds to "Lead my people into mortal sin." Yet, this is precisely what Benedict's successor does via nebulous language, the demoting of conservative orthodox Bishops, the elevation of those in favor of the pansexual ideology and Marxist liberation theology, Synods to discuss altering Church treatment of people living in sexual sin, and "cold calls." Pope Francis has condemned "gender ideology" and deplored the "attack against the family," but his actions don't measure up. He has personally told individuals who are remarried without having their first marriage annulled to receive Holy Communion; he has told the same to a Lutheran woman married to a Catholic man. He literally calls them up on the phone and invites them to "eat and drink condemnation upon their souls" with a "clean conscience." How are we who are "eyes opened wide" Catholics supposed to react to such sacrilege? How do we square this with our Lord's promise that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church? Woods & Ferrara tell us how. They explain exactly how the Church has come to the worst state of crisis since its birth and what we - the remnant - must do about it. Don't just buy a copy for yourself; also gift a copy to your pastor. Our Lady of Fatima and Akita predicted there would come a time when Cardinal would rise against Cardinal and Bishop against Bishop. That time is now. We must pray unceasingly, sacrifice, and educate. In the end, the Two Hearts will bring about a return to Catholic Tradition.
