Good and Evil rolled into one By KSandlin As I finished up the book Gabriel by Mike Evans I had this ridiculous smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart. The ending was absolutely fantastic and it really brought the whole book together. Gabriel is this man who really wants to be the good guy even if at times that means being the bad guy doing the unimaginable. But he also has a side of him that you don't want to screw with! If you do happen to cross his path you definitely don't want to make him angry. Mr. Evans did a fantastic job of painting pictures in my mind that will forever be imprinted in my memory. I can not wait to see what else Gabriel can accomplish in the future!!! I said this before when I read The Orphans and I will say it again... I am now and will always be a dedicated fan... patiently awaiting more from the brilliant mind of Mike Evans!The short Story at the end by Shaun Phelps is a nice surprise at the end of the book!! Overcoming Fear: Molly is a story that makes your heart race and your emotions run away with themselves. I wish there would have been more to read and I truly hope that I get to read more of his work the in the near future!!

Gabriel is the James Bond of a new generation By alina harajuku zombie ACTION, DARKNESS,INTELIGENCE, spy, death, angel of death ..Gabriel I was lucky to be one of the beta readers for this books, and i say lucky because a espionage thriller is usualy not the kind of book that i would buy. But i was already fascinated by the dark and twisted side of the author of The Orphans , Mike Evans and i was very curious to start reading his second book. The books startes like you would think , a operative is somewhere on a mission, and he gets the kill done. The great Mike Evans Show is about to start, this man is a genius, he has a way to descrive the the caracthers so that they are 4 dimensional. You have the feeling that they are friends that you just can reach out to and talk. ***SPOILER ALLERT***One of my favorite Scene is the one where, afther finishing a hit succesful his employer refuses to pay, and Gabriel, like anny profesional just wants to gett his payment afther he finished a job succesful. The fact that he blows the guys kneecaps without remorse is just, killer !!! I dont want to sound to girly, because this is a dark , aggressive and violent Story with allot of killing and fighting going on, nothing for the faint hearted. Gabriel is the James Bond of the new generation, his outside look is not spectacular,but the mind behind those eyes is the real leathal weapon. Hey, inteligence is sexy! Gabriel is like a regular guy just walking on the streets maybe on his way to get a coffee, the only diference is that he just split someones throat and decided that it would be a great idea to carve a message on the persons chest, with a knife... Afther i told you that , i only can wish you happy reading!***dont read the last pages first!!!

If this was a movie you would be sitting at the edge of your seat.Gabriel is a wicked and kind man. He lost his family during the bomb attack of the marathon. And had a lot of anger.This book was well written. I would have given this book ten stars.

The fact that this book was written by kids really interests me because the work inside is much higher than collage level. This book is perfect for kids and adults of all ages. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is willing to read an adventure story and learn at the same time.

Mr. Adam's style is engaging and emotive.The characters are admirable and sympathetic. Here is a book with bold, capable women who've earned their prestige through military backgrounds, law enforcement, and with strong family leadership, a refreshing opposition to the current trend of waify maidens delusively cast as tough guys in heels. These are character role models our daughters can genuinely look to for inspiration. No towers to be rescued from, no unexplained or sudden ability to kick butt, just assertive, competent ladies who lead.While some of the sci-fi elements do take a backseat in the overall theme, the action is stimulating and with enough hints of the future without taking it too far off the ground. Looking forward to the next chapter.

It brought memories of the city I grew up - Rio de Janeiro - along with teaching me new information of my own home town. Great story line involving Brasilian Military's complex relationship with the civil police, the general citizenry (with specific emphasis on the Carioca way), corruption, conflict, love, sex and adventure. A very good read if you know or want to get to know some of Rio's many facets.

I got this title because of the author and my interest in Sigils not because I am a writer or artist in any way. I appreciate how the lessons build and by the time I was done with the book I felt I had a good understanding of the topic. This isn't some ancient Grimoire, it is a practical and modern approach to empowering yourself and gaining tools to enhance your creative process.

It is a good story idea but unfortunately it's very predictable. The story feels more like a short story rather than a full blown book. I feel like the author could have built a few more back stories, perhaps from other's perspective and added to the overall value.

I read it after seeing the movie and it very nicely filled in some of the gaps in the film, which I assume were removed for time. Very nicely paced, well-written and not too long. Highly recommend.

By Joe Crowe I just finished this novelization of a movie that won't be watchable for us in the U.S. until after its UK launch in March 2015 -- so I'm considering driving to the UK to see it. They finished the U.S. to UK canal by now, I'm sure.The movie's writer Mark Stay writes the book, so that's super helpful, novelization-wise. The story involves robots taking over and humans not digging it or being allowed outside. Scrappy humans vs. robots is a classic sci-fi setup, and it's classic because it works. Add fightin' and stuff blowin' up and this is a totally satisfying construction.

By Tomas Legume This is a great thriller which exposes one of the most contemporary issues facing modern man - the pillaging and draining of the earths resources for our self serving luxuries. Hansen does very well by the continually developing new and interesting characters right up until the end of the book. It is wonderful how the middle section takes a turn and heads out to sea. The survival and sustainability theme has an authenticity that is compelling to contemporary events, and it makes one wonder if this disaster could easily become our reality.

Goldman Destiny explores the results of human dependence on oil, and carelessness about our stewardship of the natural world. When a massive oil spill threatens Cape Cod, scientists and the government decide to release an oil-eating bacterium to clean it up. Good intentions notwithstanding, it creates an ever-widening ripple of disastrous surprises.As I have grown older, my concentration has lessened and made reading a whole book challenging. But I read every word of Destiny, and in a very short time. Not usually a fan of science fiction works or thrillers, I found this book engaging and interesting because it is so plausible. Hansen's skill at weaving a narrative rich with complex human relationships, deep knowledge of sailing, and the joys and challenges of living an ecologically responsible life enthralled me.

Christensen The premise of the book is fascinating - a microbe has been created that will eat oil, and it is released to clean up an oil spill at sea. But it doesn't stop with the oil spill, and ends up eating and destroying every single thing that is derived from oil. Which if you think about it is pretty much everything in the world that isn't wood, metal, stone, or natural fiber. And while I did enjoy the book, if you are at all scientifically minded (let alone a chemist or biologist) you really have to suspend disbelief to accept the premise. By the time chemists are done manipulating molecules to make say PVC for plumbing pipe, it bears little resemblance to crude oil. A microbe isn't going to "know" the polymer backbone of the pipe is derived from olefins that were created by cracking crude oil - all it can do is recognize structures. And if it thought PVC,or carpet, or rubber tires looked like food, it would think we do too. So I would have found it easier to accept if the microbe of the story had just been limited to being able to eat crude oil and gasoline. This would still have had catastrophic consequences for civilization as we know it, and been much easier to accept.So just turn off the critical judgement part of your brain, and you'll enjoy it more.
